I first made these protein bars for my trip to Wedgemount Lake – and was I ever glad I did. Usually when I go for full day hikes, I tend to buy the pricy mainstream protein bars from the grocery store. They are full of fructose and shit. I asked myself before I left for this trip “Why would I spend almost 4 bucks on something I could make for more than half that price?” So I did! Ladies and Gentleman I present to you my vegan, raw, gluten free protein bites! I swear, they take 5 minutes to put together. Try them out and let me know what you think!

What you Need

Oats | 1 cup

Almond Flour | 1/2 cup

Peanut or Almond Butter | 1/2 cup

Dates | 7

Ground Flax Seed | 3 Tbsp

Chia Seeds | 3 Tbsp

Pumpkin Seeds | 1/4 cup

Dark Chocolate Chips | 1/4 cup

Water | 1/2 cup (with Peanut Butter) or 1/4 cup (with Almond Butter)

Dried Cranberries | 1/4 cup

Roasted Pecans | 1/4 cup chopped

  1. Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until everything is combined
  2. Line a 8×8 pan with parchment paper
  3. Spread it out into the pan and store in the fridge
  4. Voila! Cut into little squares and take a few on a hike, to work, school or after a workout
